Local Schools are Serving Free Meals for Students

Many students rely on school breakfast and lunch for their daily meals. Spread the word...

Twenty-one schools across the county will serve bagged breakfasts and lunches from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily, beginning March 23 and running through March 27. All children age 18 and younger are eligible to receive the meals, one per day.

No application is required.

Families are encourages to drive to the sites, but walkups also will be served. The district announced that the City of Tampa also plans to open some locations for feeding students. Those locations, not yet listed, will be available on the city’s website.

School districts are able to provide the subsidized meals outside their cafeterias as the result of a waiver from federal guidelines, obtained by the state Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. It’s the same arrangement that schools usually follow during the summer break.

Covid-19: FAQ

A Word from our Founder

Empathy. As people of Faith, we tend to make Big-headed posts during times of uncertainty that most people can't relate to.  The Bible says Power, Love AND a Sound Mind. Power to pray, Love to empathize with others, a Sound Mind to take control of hysterical and anxious thoughts. It doesn't mean we know all the answers and or can dismiss everyone's situation, or act irresponsibly. Washing your hands is wisdom folks!  Practice love by being practical, being caring, praying and in the meantime keeping your distance and staying safe.
