HER IMPACT Annual Teen Summit

Our Annual Teen Summit for girls grades 6-12. We will center our focus on equipping our girls to recognize destructive racial and gender narratives and "SHIFT" toward purpose in order to impact our world for good.

My name is Taylor and I am passionate about health and wellness I am an avid reader, certified Health Coach and Zumba instructor and believe that total health is achievable for everyone! In an age where many Americans are suffering from preventable diseases, I want to do my part to educate on ways to prevent disease by teaching sustainable living to others with practical tools. I am so excited to be able to impact the lives of young women at the Summit this year!

I'm an Actor, Model, Educator, Blogger, Influencer and a Certified Success & Purpose Coach.  I'm a New Orleans native and a proud graduate of Fisk University where I pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Over the course of my career, I've had the privilege of impacting thousands of women and girls through instruction, mentoring and training. As a Success & Purpose Coach, I also specialize in working with women who are looking to fulfill their unique purpose on this earth. My name is Shelbi Hales and I am a blogger, passion pursuer and freedom lover.
At 24-years-old I find laughing to be my main talent, and I am a messy work-in-love and am totally okay with it. People are my absolute passion. I have a desire to help women see their worth in this chaotic world! I am the Founder of Love into Freedom and Pretty Soul Sisterhood, both created to help my sisters feel worthy, heard, and understood. I hold tightly onto the cross when life gets crazy and am working every day to become a stronger, better me.

Dr.  Kahlila Lawrence

Summit Mental Health Consultant

Hi! I'm Dr. K and I consider myself a passionate and accomplished educator and I have advocated for the well-being of children for over 15 years. I obtained my doctoral degree in School Psychology in 2008, and my areas of expertise include early childhood development, girls' empowerment, stress management, crisis management, school climate and culture, and social justice. I am committed to supporting the physical, mental, and emotional wellness of all children and I also enjoy teaching and mentoring graduate students who are also working towards positively impacting children.

Meg Kearney

Summit Volunteer Coach

Hi! I'm Megan and I am the co-founder of G.E.M.S. (Girls Empowered and Motivated for Success) in East Tampa. This program provides an opportunity for young girls from the inner city to learn about their purpose and worthwhile instilling leadership, confidence, and respect for themselves and others. I have worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Hillsborough County School District for 14 years and born and raised in Tampa. I also serve in the local church ministering to girls in a local area know as Ybor City and I have a passion for inspiring the younger generation of girls to run their hearts out for Jesus!

Dr. Sanjie Jackson, DMD

Hi, I'm Dr. Sanjie Jackson! I am a full-time dentist who owns two practices in Pinellas County. I have a passion for sharing God‘s love and am blessed to do so through singing in the choir at my local church Grace Family Church and helping in the women’s ministry. I also have the opportunity to share God’s love by doing global missions abroad in Africa and the Caribbean.

Hi, I'm Shaunette a practicing attorney licensed in the state of Florida and a professor at Hillsborough Community College. I am the Managing Partner of Stokes Law Group, PLLC. I am a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Florida A&M University, and North Carolina Central University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina. I currently work with a diverse group of clients, assisting them in understanding and navigating the law so that they can effectively manage their legal needs.

Hi, I'm Tameka Clark! I'm an official Sisterlocks™ Certified Consultant and owner of Bee Natural Locks. I chose to start Cosmetology school and then decided to follow it up with a hair loss practitioners license. That license propelled my successful hair salon business in Tampa, where I now employ others who are perfecting their crafts. I service clients and teach classes across the country specializing in natural hair and natural hair care systems.

My name Antonio Miranda I’m married to my beautiful wife Cassandra Miranda for 13 years. I have 3 beautiful daughters Aniya, Aliya and Emari. I’ve had the privilege of being an assistant youth pastor, worship pastor and worship leader. I love importing into lives through the word of God, my testimony and worship.

My name is Lloyd Tillman. I'm 18 years old. I am originally from Jacksonville, Fl, but have grown up in Tampa, FL. I am the middle of 7 children! I work for the Dream Center of Tampa Bay and hope to one day become the Executive Director, as well as own a lucrative T-shirt company.

Frankie Mercado

My name is Francisco "Frankie" Mercado Jr. I  have been happily married to my better half Renee for over 7yrs. and am the proud father of two beautiful daughters Saraya and Naomi. I work in Digital Marketing. My future goals include launching my own firm and I am currently pursuing a graduate degree in the same field. One of my mantra's for my daughers is:
“I want to give my girls a fighting chance, so they don’t have to fight,
just to get a chance”.

I am Obiamaka Obianyo Pederson, I have a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and I’m an Instructor at an online university. In the past, I conducted drug discovery research. I have a 2-year-old daughter, who is currently the center of my world and it is my hope and dream to leave the world a better place than how I found it.

Representative Dianne Hart

Representative Dianne Hart serves District 61 which includes the greater part of Central and East Tampa. 

Representative Hart Serves on multiple Committees dedicated to bettering the infrastructure of Hillsborough County
Representative Hart is also the C.E.O. of the East Tampa Business and Civic Association, one of Tampa
Bay’s most prominent affordable housing providers. She was recently appointed by Hillsborough County Commissioner Les Miller to serve on the Commission of the Status of Women.
Representative Hart has lived in Tampa for her entire life, and before coming to the Florida House, owned and operated Ms. Dee’s World of Beauty for over 30 years.

Marc Leggett

My name is Marc Leggett. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Delta State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science and because of my passion for the geriatric population,
I currently work at a Senior Living Facility as a medication technician and in-resident care.  I also serve as a leader for several small groups at my local church, Grace Family Church and as a volunteer for  Men's Prison Ministry. My life journey experiences have led me from the streets to the Church and my mission is to lead others from street life to eternal life in Jesus Christ.

Hello, My name is Carmen Mott-Singleton and I am an Instructional Coach for Hillsborough County Public Schools, where I support elementary teachers in improving instructional practices in reading. I attended Trinity Baptist College where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and I received a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida. I enjoy spending time with my husband of 12 years and my two young boys

My name is Morgan Bennett, I was born and raised in Tampa, Fl. I graduated from Tampa Catholic High School. I was part of the yearbook team and on the rowing team. I am a graduate of Lynn University and while I was an undergrad, I worked in the Office of Admission as Student Ambassador and Team Leader in the Department of Campus Visit Experience. I was part of multiple organizations and societies such as the Black Student Union, PSI CHI and National Honor Society. I completed my B.S. at Lynn University in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice and subsequently my Masters in Psychology with Concentration in Industrial Organization at Lynn University.
